Oh, classic. The slide is the best. I was just reading an article about Jean Shepherd yesterday; apparently he was a bit of a bitter crank, but who among us isn't?
You probably know this tidbit already but the narator of the film was actually Shepherd.
What a great film though. Scott Farkus getting his comeuppance is the best scene in 80's holiday movies ever. In a distant second? Silent Night, Deadly Night, the scene where a guy on a sled gets his head chopped off and the head rolls down the hill seconds before the body.
