for those of you who don't already know, ufb is going to be breaking up :( check out www.ultimatefakebook.com and see a message from the band about it. they will be playing some shows in the kansas area until march 6 so go see them one last time! i will be there on the 6th for sure and maybe even another show or two depending on work and school.

Just thought I'd add that though most of the shows are in Kansas City, Lawrence, or Manhattan, there is also one final show in Little Rock, Arkansas. I think they always did really well there.

AWWWWW!! :( I am happy I at least was able to see them 2 times before they split up (hey I lived in Idaho they don't come around these parts too often!). Last time I saw them was September 2002 when I went to Salt Lake City to see them for some local awards show they were performing at. I remember my friends and I kept leaving and coming back until UFB performed, then we sang along and danced the whole time. BEST. CONCERT. EVER!

sucks about the breakup. i saw ufb in south florida about a year ago and eric (aka dave grohl) told me ufb was going to be part of the new reggie and the full effect album. is that true??? i may buy the cd if i know that information.

hmm, i never heard that. the first time i saw reggie (which was probably three years ago now) the guys played in the band and i know they were supposed to release a split e.p. on vagrant during that time with songs by both bands on it but it never happened due to james scrapping all of his songs i think so who knows. bill is living in california now so he probably wouldn't be a part of anything new but eric and nick are still in lawrence playing in various bands and doing other things.
