Well, I may have somewhat overstated that. You can forgive me later, I am sure.

As almost everybody on LJ is likely aware now, there are guys running around with "the end is nigh!" sandwich boards due to the signs of the times (to wit: the firing of over 2/3 of LJ's employees, likely an indication that LJ is going on life support before too much ( Read more... )

I already have a Wordpress blog and will probably retreat to that, if it becomes necessary. I will miss my cross_stitch group though. Unlikely they'll all move that way with me. :(

I did back up my LJ the other day, though. It just irks me that I can't take the comments with me unless I install a Windoze emulator to run one of the backup programs... Ah well.

I used the Export LJ thingie.

One month at a time, no comments or anything else. I backed up my scrapbook manually.

It's not a great option, but it worked.

I've been away so much for work that I've missed all the hub-bub. So let me react...

WHAT THE F**K!? NO! Darn it-- I have a lifetime account! They never said that meant the lifetime of a.. a... (What lives for 7 years?) and not a human! Darn them!

I've been writing almost daily in LJ for some -- well, 7 years! I'm quite obviously addicted. If LJ goes down, I'll seriously tweak!

*grumbles and stomps away*
