Rap isn't music. It doesn't incorporate the elements of music such as pitch and harmony, and if it does, it's so simplistic, and does not incorporate real instruments to produce its sound. It doesn't stimulate the mind as music does. It is a waste of time and effort on a large scale. Let's be honest. When rappers try to consider themselves ( Read more... )

you're too opionated for your own good sometimes nicholas.
however, i do agree with you about the rap nonsense... although some of it does have good dance value, and for that its worth keeping around. sometimes. don't hate me.
girls are dumb, kill them all.
cafeteria workers are overworked and underpaid by your fine institution i'm sure, you should treat them nicer. i.e., throwing the mozzarella sticks in her face, jumping over the counter and tackling her to the ground, then drugging her while she lays shocked as you grab your desired food items and quickly flee the scene. and everytime you approach her from there on in, she'll look at you with fear in her eyes and bow to your lordship over her poor food service skills.ingenious.

ok Nick... again I understand your sentiment but are you really on the side of those politicians who totally ignore the majority of people and give themselves amazing tax breaks so they can be richer? There are those who while they are in the richer bracket of America look past their wealth and try to fight for the health, education, and employment of those who aren't as rich as them. Personally I aplaud thier effort and will side with them so the working class of this country atleast have a chance to get by instead of being shoved aside by those who only look to white collar America and the misuse of factory workers overseas.

First off, I'm going to just say that the maltreatment of workers overseas is not the responsiblity of the United States, or in many cases, the company for which sweat shops are being used, but the responsibility of the FTAA, and garment distributors who are dividing up the labor. While I DO NOT condone sweatshops and worker abuse, it is generally irresponsible to place the blame on those executives who own the companies for which the labor is being done. Take your case to the FTAA ( ... )

ok so you know lots more about taxes and specifics in policy than I because sadly I opted to add spanish classes rather than poli-sci and socialogy (big mistake on my part) but quoting you "Furthermore, contrary to popular belief, not all rich people opress the poor and exploit laborers." That is very much the truth but you seem to be bashing those very people and supporting the politicians who don't do this. I could just be totally misunderstanding you. I have to say it's great to talk to someone who's actually educated and well spoken on these issues and challenge my thoughts in the political arena. I also give you mad props for standing up to those who call Rap music... it is simply performance and scandal waiting to happen and rather far from music! I have enjoyed listening to BTJ's CD today too! Thanks for making my nights interesting!! I hope I don't come off as a total brat in these posts!

How can you say rap isnt music? Music is a vocal or instrumental sound(s) possessing a degree of melody, harmony, or rythym. Rap music possesses all of the qualities above. Rap, obviously, is not a waste of time since the majority of compact discs/tapes purchased in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, is Rap/Hip Hop. In what rule book does it say that Rappers are not musicians? A Do you have any resources to back up any of your claims? I highly "doubt" that. So until you have any proof to help your claims, I think you should keep your thoughts to a minimum. I can understand if you dislike rap music, just dont knock it. They are hard working musicians just like any other rock artist ( ... )
