never imagined an accordion
cheesecake promotional
calendar received for free

could engender
sufficient interest
to delay February

so far into March

worse than I thought retyping
poems that aren't really so

old & still make me sweat
somewhat reassuringly

that I could be unaware
of an addiction to "such"

despite such prevalent evidence

after all the trouble
it took rustling
up the ingredients
& recipe & cook

about the last thing
I expect is dinner
to get along
altogether peaceable

some advice I've found
easier to remember than
others the best easiest being

get in bed with garlic
bread wake up about three
buttered & hungry
