I know when my son had his first bad batch of nappy rash, we learned that we need to dry off his bottom with a tissue before we apply the cream... Once we started doing that it cleared up in no time.

again, more than happy to try this out. Unfortunately today is pouring with rain or letting him run free would be great to keep his bottom dry and free to the air. And yeah, catching that nappy is hard. I may look into Bepanthen thanks

I know you say it's not the nappies, but there's been quite a few complaints from the US about Pampers recently. They've changed the way they're made or something and a lot of people are finding that their previously happy babies are nappy-rashed babies.

I know pampers have changed over recently, all the hype on the TV etc, but, we are still on my stock of the old ones, middle of a packet. And its only since the nasty stools started. It had crossed my mind, but everything points to the teething. He is trying to eat my coffee table

Ah ok, wasn't sure if you knew or not. What is it with kids and eating furniture?!

it was Huggies having the issue not so long back too. But yeah, my coffee table has teeth marks in it.

If sudacrem isn't doing the job we always use metanium. It was recommended to me by a friend who works with special needs children ( so they get a lot of nappy rash type problems) and its wonderful stuff. My son only ever had problems when teething and we only ever needed to use it overnight mostly - he's 2 1/2 and we are still on the same tube!

It does smell a bit, and it does stain so be careful but it is great stuff.

Hope you sort your little guy out soon

2nding metanium. That stuff is a miracle!

My little one constantly had sore bits from thrush. We used a layer of thrush cream then the metanium over the top to sooth and waterproof. Never looked back xx
