There is a group of people protesting the funerals of the VT massacre victims. These are the same people you may have heard about protesting the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq, or most famously Rosa Parks. I was just reading online about these people and was going to post something very similar to yours. I am afraid to say that they must just be allowed to say it, but then again we don't have to listen.
