Going from UFA to uni is a big jump. You sit in a room with as many kids in your entire school. You don't know the teachers. The assignments aren't fun. The classes are boring. You work harder & get lower marks than high school.
There's no sense of community at university like there is at UFA, I think that's the biggest difference. Oh, &, people out there really are homophobic... strange. :-/
However, that is just MY opinion but if you ask pretty much ANY other person in the 2006 graduating class they will tell you they LOVE university & it's alot of fun. & I'm sure you'll have fun: meeting new people is fun, residence is fun, parties are fun, Frosh is fun. You're outgoing & I know you will make friends easily. :)
Go with your heart, Hanna. & I think it's best to decide based on program, but that is my opinion. What programs are they?

I'm kinda scared about university, too - I agree that it'll feel kinda like starting over again, because most people from any given school all spread out on their own respective paths after high school... Most of my friends're headed off to York or Western to my knowledge.
But I'm sure we'll both end up enjoying it to the fullest. It won't be better or worse than high school, just a different (hopefully very fun) experience... <3
