In Beijing. Liking it much better than I thought I would. Learning about buses. Buses are cool. Much cooler than subways. Kind of like fezzes and bow-ties, really.

I am also the proud owner of a toaster-sized oven. For a year, anyway. Tomorrow, it will make me breakfast in the afternoon, starting with sweet-potato bread. It will be yummy.

I'm just posting this to say that I haven't forgotten my promise to write. I actually have several pages written on various topics, but there are still some things I want to write about which chronologically go between and before stuff I've already written. I'd like to post stuff chronologically, so I'm waiting until I have time to fill things out ( Read more... )

Hurrah! Egads it feels good to have that senior essay done!!  It ended up being exactly 30 pages (about six pages of material got cut out during the writing though).  A big thanks to Aki-chan who kept me sane online and read it for me at the last minute!  Now I've just got to work on my Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu translation and write another 25-30 page ( Read more... )
