New Family Member!

A few days ago, me and Agnes took an evening walk. As we were walking, we began to hear a weird sound. Approaching closer, we discerned loud meows and figured out it was a cat. Yet though it was pretty loud, we couldn't find where the meows were coming from. Finally, we figured out that the source was above us. A cat was stuck in a tree!

She's adorable, but are you sure that someone else isn't missing her right now? She looks well fed, not like a street cat... Our front screen door often doesn't catch like it's supposed to, and if my cat sneaked outside, got scared by a dog and climbed up a tree, she wouldn't have a collar or microchip either, but that doesn't mean I don't love her.

I'd suggest putting up a couple of "cat found" signs where you were walking -- don't give a description of her, just list the date you found her and your phone number. If someone calls, ask for a description of the cat. If they say they're missing a half-year-old female kitten with tan and black stripes and a white nose, throat and boots, you should give her back, but if that doesn't happen, you'll be in the clear and won't have to worry.

Scot, yes, she's just adorable :-) We figure it's the responsibility of her previous owners, if she had any, to place posters up if they are missing their cat, and we are actively looking for them while we are walking around the neighborhood - none so far.

If Siren had previous owners.. they were irresponsible. So I'm glad you found her! My cat Suzy also climbed up a tree once.. but I got her out of it myself....
