Parker is always pretty easy. Books and coffee and video games do the trick every time. It’s been crazy watching him mature as a husband and dad. His heartbeat is for his family and his faith. I couldn’t ask for more.

This year we went back to our old school format of not asking the kids for ideas. They didn’t really like giving them, and Jeff and I really prefer being able to have a date night where we discuss the kids and choose gifts we think represent their year of interests or their general personality. It makes me sad that I haven’t kept Major life events updated on here. If for no other reason than my kids being able to read them later. Facebook has everything, but not my personal thoughts and feelings. Anyway, I figured it was way past time for one of those posts that gives a bit about each of the kids.

Christmas in Virginia with our new baby AND our new granddaughter! Who even NEEDED gifts?! It was such a great time and I hated having to drive back home and leave sweet Meirah. I can’t wait for next Christmas when we’ll have two ONE YEAR OLDS toddling around. :D ( Read more... ) -

Parker: He turned 21 this month. What the heck. He's doing SO great at Regent. He's a junior and on track to graduate next year with his Biblical Studies degree. He's looking into grad school in Portland; I find that equally exciting and scary. I mean, what if he gets out there and wants to stay? I don't THINK he would. Ahhh, it's that time of year again. I'm basically doing this for Genevieve, but I do love the ability to look back in time and see what the kids have been interested in as they grew. We had a slightly higher budget than normal this year, so Jeff and I got each other gifts for the first time in over a decade. It was NICE! :D
