my head has been so fucked up lately. a couple of days ago, after coming home from the store, I put my tampons in the freezer and took the hot pockets to the bathroom cabinet. I now understand the inspiration for this:

last night as we were on the steps smoking cigarettes he asks if I've been having trouble eating. "I'm getting about one meal a day, if that," I say. he nods. I ask if he's been able to sleep. "I'm so tired but I can't sleep. I only get a few hours a night." I nod. and even thought we have nothing else in common. we have this.

I just had an hour long conversation with my best friend from childhood. this girl still knows me so well, even though she hasn't really been an active part of my life for the past couple of years. it was somewhat comforting to hear both her professional (she's a social worker) and personal insights and opinions. during the conversation she said ( Read more... )
