His soul was something he did not value very highly and it was nice, in a way, to have her so entrammel it.
Aside from being all entranced with "entrammel", I am a bit worried that his soul may be in actual danger if he doesn't guard it. He is beginning to be rather reckless...which can be quite hazardous in the Buffyverse. I am curious about the not unhandsome Miss Pleasance, who seems a suitable acquaintance. I've a feeling William will need confederates before it is all over...

Hee. One of the things I enjoy about writing William is that I get to use words like that in my prose without sounding pretentious or "purple." (That's the hope, anyway.)

Miss Pleasance will definitely make an appearance later on. As to whether William's recklessness will lead him to any harm. Well...
My, he is rather grumpy today. I hope he asks Buffy his questions, though in a nicer way than he spoke to the servant girl. ;) I do like that seeing Buffy got his to eat a little bit.

Well, he's struggling to accept his own impending death, so I think he's entitled to be a little grumpy, especially in regard to the neighbors. His treatment of the servants, however, is completely unrelated to his illness and will be addressed later on. I'm actually looking forward to that part, because he is prone to being a pretentious ass around them. :P
William's not having a very good day, is he? Hopefully, his night will be better.
Oh, I think it will.
And Miss Pleasance sounds pleasant. Why did he turn her away?
I don't want to give away too much, as that will be addressed later on, but let's just say he's harboring some bitter feelings for his contemporaries, particularly women.
