Yes. Book is set in early years of the plague in Europe (so fits my stock). Protagonists find out the plague is symptom of the war between heaven and hell., It's a horror story. Haven't read it, but it did sell well.

And confirmed my plan--next year gonna have a shelf/display of books about faires (including that new one there are 3), including fiction (some of which is dubious, but at least not wholly wrong), and also books (regardless of subject) by rennies--so I have an excuse to stock Marrus' Lightsurfing (among others).

Well hopefully the new location will work out as well as you'd like it to.
It's always a shame to lose a show, but more so this one since there's nothing else going on this time of year. Sure makes for a short off season for some folks, and that's rarely a bad thing what with a rennie's average income.

Let me know if you have any copies of Chris's new book left come Bristol. I'd rather buy one off you than Amazon.

Guaranteed--will have Road Dog Diary, Renaissance Faires: Merrying the Past, Well Met and at least Between Two Fires. It's apparently out of print, but Andre Norton's edited Renaissance Faire (collection of mostly fantasy short stories) gets the spirit right in several of the stories ( ... )
