Being drunk

Kind of like being high, but different. And I have an embarrisingly low level of tolerance.

Welcome to the club. The first weekend here I spoke in an Irish accent for two hours straight after enough booze to make others, at best, slur their speech a little. I think I've developed my tolerance since then, but even so, the officer title remains in the Wine Lovers Club - Linguist after Two Glasses.

I mean, it's not really a skill I want to cultivate, but right now, I have nowhere to go but up.

My advice - where there's good beer, take it. What's good beer? Anything that doesn't like it was brewed in a toilet bowl, i.e. Heineken (to say nothing of Budweiser or Coors) - and otherwise, I wouldn't stress about it. Vodka's never something to feel guilty about missing, neither is Bacardi. It get's old fast as you'd find very quickly if ever you were in Minnesota.
