First off, does anyone know where that quote is from? We've been using it at work without proper credit being given.

Gypsy and I will be there. I'm running the stage at Urchin Street as usual. Gypsy has a couple of shifts guarding the Musicians Instruments so they don't spontaneously get up and do the mamba. Because that's a Latin dance and this is an Irish Festival. They should be doing slip jigs instead.

It will be after QAL rehearsal (which lets out at 5pm on Saturday)... not sure if I'm picking up arbiter_of_cool or meeting him there, but we will both end up there eventually. w00t!

Way late response, but since nobody else answered...

Did a quick Google search on "knifey spooney," and found that the origin was a spoof of Crocodile Dundee in an episode of The Simpsons. Specifically Season 6, episode 16, "Bart vs. Australia" -- there's even a clip online here.

Oh, and your picture to cluegirl almost made me snarf my energy drink!
