Had my pre-employment physical and drug-test today, 4/20. The whole ordeal took almost 3 hours. Among other things I had an EKG (heart and blood flow monitoring), but due to the carpet that covers my chest the sensors couldn't adhere to my skin. While I was out in Cali i got a call from my parents saying something along the lines of, "Adam, we're going to visit your sister in Germany next week, and you're still unemployed, so if you want a free trip to Europe you should book a plane ticket home right now". Senate voted to allow drilling in ANWR to be part of the budget yesterday. Democrats in Hawaii and Louisiana were the margin of difference that allowed it to happen. Hopes now hinge on a rejection of the budget, or lawsuits brought by the Big Heavies of the environmental movement ( Read more... )
