Great post. I mainly hang out in PR sites, so I do not how it is like in the wider world of Glee fanfdom. However, it is sad that the anonymity of the internet, can allow a small select few act out, and not only give PR a bad name, but Glee in general. I understand it is select few, but it is only a TV show.
Here, here! For some reason the anonymity of the internet and the randomness of fandoms make people think anything is okay and acceptable.
Some scary, scary things have happened at cons. It's actually why I've never tried to go to them because while I'm a die hard fan of a lot of the shows that are featured, I refuse to be lumped into a group with some of the pyschos that equate TV love with real life and therefore take it to far. One of the SPN cons led to people being violated by other fans... which is a disgrace to humanity that people will take their love of a certain form of entertainment that far.
