In Which Christopher Gets His First Capture

Jun 02, 2010 22:01

Um... There's another one of these creatures following me around.

He flew into a tree last night and after I helped him he followed us to that 'centre' place.

Hoothoot!

He's ever so friendly and follows me and Pooh everywhere.

Hoothoot!

Does this mean he's mine?

I think it does, cutie.

Wow. You didn't even have to throw a Pokeball.

Cutie?

Poke- Oh, those little red and white balls, Miss?

Oops. Not Cutie, huh? What should I call you?

That's right. After your Pokemon battles a wild one, if you weaken it enough, you can throw a Pokeball at it and capture it.

Oh, well, I um... I don't mind, I mean, not really anyway. My name is Christopher Robin, what's yours miss?

Won't throwing a ball hurt it?

So he just...followed you places?

Yes, after I helped him out of the pinching branches he flew after us, then his wings must've gotten tired so he hopped along after us.

But after all that he started to fall behind so I carried him a little way. And now he's staying with me.

Is that a bad thing?

Well...doesn't sound like it, I guess. I was just wondering if you'd used one of those...ball things yet to catch it. I don't know how to work mine.

Oh, that's what someone said to me!

I didn't at first but then when I did it seemed happy and went straight inside.

...

I wonder if that's how my tripping and having a pokeball crash into Caterpie ended up with me catching him...

You think so?

Gosh, this stuff is a bit complicated.

Maybe. It's either that or Caterpie is so weak it didn't even need to get fought to be captured...

I'm sure he's not weak.

[So it's not just his sister. Perhaps birds simply like following certain people around. Link just laughs.]

I wonder if they have a tendency to do that...

I haven't a clue. But it's certainly possible.
