I completely forgot to check the antifreeze in the car last night (the coldest of the year so far) and guess what happened?
The car's being gently thawed out in a local garage overnight in the hope that the engine hasn't cracked.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the point of the latest round of Wikileaks? There's a strong whiff of 'difficult second album' about this mixture of the bleedin' obvious (Arab nations are wary of Iran) and pointless gossip (US officials are critical of their allies). devinshire and I took the boys to see our local hockey (or ice hockey if you prefer) team last night, the Braehead Clan playing against the Dundee Stars. It was excellent game, short on fist-fights but long on end-to-end entertainment. Our Canadians beat their Canadians 5-1. Oh Hollywood...
Apparently, the new Spiderman movie has been cast. Tobey McGuire (and Sam Raimi) have left and British actor Andrew Garfield has taken over the role.
The exciting news is that it's to be a prequel, telling the story of young Peter Parker BEFORE he got bitten by the spider. In other words, it should be called 'Man'.
