[Hello, Holloway's! Lily here with her second video post. Videos are a million times easier to do than text posts! Lily can't write for shit. That much is obvious.
Anyway, Lily is outside. Grass and flowers and topiary sculptures, oh my! She looks pretty happy. There is some intense nature going on in the background, being beautiful and all.Hi, it

D --> Why would you invest so much admiration in such f001ish little sprouts
D --> Perhaps if plant life actually did anything notable, they would be acknowledged

[You don't really have a choice when you get thrown on a battlefield and are told to rise or die.]
I'm sorry, Equus. I mean Equius. Sorry.

[He pauses for a moment.]
You are from the humans planet, right?

[He's silent for a moment, listening. It makes a little more sense why she would value something so insignificant, now.]
Understood. Well. I needn't tell you how much there is to experience in the outside world, if you're blown back by something as trivial as plant life. You'll grow to enjoy the splendor of strength and hoofbeasts with time, I suppose. Even if you are not fighting them.
[Oddly enough, he's not as enraged that she would choose to avoid conflicts.]

[Like THAT will ever happen! Flowers are awesome! Lily even took the time to learn some names. There's daisies, and orchids (which she says with a "ch" sound), and chrys... crysan... those mum things. So awesome!]
Hey, uh... I know you said you had to find time, but if you're free now, maybe we could go exploring?

[He freezes. Now? Right now? A chill runs up his spine to compliment the heat flushing through his face. These emotions are absolutely confusing but not unfamiliar. The only other time he's felt like this was when that wretched, beautiful redblooded Aradia was still around.]
Well. Give me a moment to see if I am free.
[There's a pause as Equius sits there, trying to seem as if he's doing something important.]
Yes, sure. We can look around this Keep if you'd like.

Great, cool! I'm on the Green now, in one of the corners with all the flowers and bushes and stuff. [Obviously!] See you there, Equius!

Very well then. I will find my way there momentarily.
[In a matter of minutes, after taking a few wrong turns, Lily will see a rather displeased looking figure off in the distance. There are still faint traces of blue and red blood on his shirt, but he's clean for the most part! It even looks like he's finally found his broken shades. He seems to be glancing around for the voice from his journal.]
Lily?

So anyway, Lily looks up to see a... gray guy. She makes the connection quickly, which is astounding. Trolls are gray. Equius is a troll. Therefore, Equius is gray? Yes. Obviously.
Lily puts on a smile and stands up with a fistful of pretty flowers.]
Hey, Equius? Hi? Over here!

Yes, hello Lily. These are the flowers you were speaking of, then?
[He pushes his shades back, observing Lily as if he's confused at how someone like her could possibly take down a beast like the one she's drawn. It doesn't help that she looks about as human as any human can look.]

[Lily puts the flowers down. This is no time for botany! Well, it's always time for botany, but hauling all those flowers around would be unnecessary. She looks back to Equius, but her eyes drift up to his horns.]
You have different horns than Sollux. Uhh, is the left one supposed to be all jagged like that?
Reply
Why are they named differently if they don't seem to do anything different.
[They're just...flowers. His eyes are stuck on hers as they travel to his candy corn colored horns. Human as she may be, they're a beautiful blue. Perhaps that means she has bright blue blood? Do humans work that way or is that just trolls? Equius isn't old enough for his blood color to show in his eyes, but perhaps some humans go through that earlier?]
What?
[He reaches up to feel the jagged edge of his horn.]
It's eh...It's broken. It'll grow back eventually, but hasn't yet. What is that on your neck?
Reply
What?
[Eyes back down.]
Oh, it's, uh, it's a collar. No big deal.
Reply
A collar? Is it your choice to wear it?
[He leans in a bit closer to see what it's made of. Obviously a sort of metal but how breakable is it, he wonders.]
Do humans wear these often?
Reply
[If she could, Lily would take it off in a heartbeat.
But, she can't.
Ever.
She doesn't notice how much her smile had faded until it's time to slap on another one.]
So, exploring?
