[Hello, Holloway's! Lily here with her second video post. Videos are a million times easier to do than text posts! Lily can't write for shit. That much is obvious.
Anyway, Lily is outside. Grass and flowers and topiary sculptures, oh my! She looks pretty happy. There is some intense nature going on in the background, being beautiful and all.Hi, it

[As blunt as he is, Equius can tell when he's stepped over a few lines in conversation.]
Well. It looks nice all the same. It is safe to say that the definition of normal is void and irrelevant here. It is unique.
[Equius knows a thing or two about being unique. Not many trolls have his freakish strength. It's a curse as much as a blessing at times.]
Yes. Exploring. Where should we go?
Reply
[Not an exaggeration. Lily grabs her record and flips to the castle map. Hmmm... There's a ton of open space, but the map seems pretty, uh... shitty.]
There's a ton of weird stuff on here. What's a... um... glass... works? [Reading is hard.] And what's... [THERE'S a word she knows!] Oh, hey, there's an armory!
Reply
[Equius will do the same, looking over the squares and shapes that are supposed to be certain areas.]
Glass is far too fragile. I've been forbidden to break the property of the keep during my stay here.
[His eyebrows raise at the mention of an armory. How had he missed that?]
There is? Where? It would be good to get an inventory of any weapons here.
Reply
[She points. See?]
We should go. I mean, the Keep is way weird, so it'll probably have weird weapons? I totally wanna see. You think they'll have any guns? Big ones? Mine are kinda small.
Reply
[He takes a few steps before checking his map, glancing at surrounding landmarks to determine the direction.]
Guns? Like rifles?
[That strange Eridan fellow favored the riflekind. He really hopes he doesn't find him there.]
I'd prefer to find a bow and some arrows. Much nobler, though eh-...
[He's never been able to fire a single arrow.]
...Well I hope to find some, anyways. Archery is rather calming.
[And by archery, he means snapping bows in half.]
Reply
[As if that will make any sense to a troll. Lily closes her record to depend on Equius's sense of direction. Know her, she'd get them lost.
Lily raises her eyebrows. Bows and arrows? Those primitive things?]
Bows and arrows, really? They're totally cool, but, uh, kind of simple, aren't they?
Reply
[And off they go, walking aimlessly! Equius tries to hide his slight scowl when she calls his favorite weapon simple, but it fades when she mentions that she thinks they're cool.]
Yes. In the right hands, a bow and arrow can be lethal. It all depends on your level of skill, of course. The more noble and regal of trolls can appreciate this. I've been told I'd be better suited to the Ruffiannihilators, who rely on their brute strength.. But I've always admired the elegance of a bow.

[She looks at him with a smile. Smiles all around!]
But like you said, your weapon of choice is your weapon of choice. Are you any good at it?
Reply
[He stops dead in his tracks, with a rather blank look at that smile. Did he say something? He freezes up even more when she inquires about his archery abilities.]
What? Well- ...Yes, of course. It depends on what you mean by good, really.
Reply
[Lily stops too. Did she say something? They're talking about archery. Is archery a touchy topic? Do people even get touchy about archery?
WHAT ARE MANNERS.]
Reply
[Oh god please don't ask him to once they get there. Equius has known this girl for almost an hour and he's already potentially making a fool of himself.]
W-Well let's continue, I'm sure we're almost there. Where have you trained? I didn't think humans had culling caverns or trials or any of that.
[He continues to walk, as they talk.]
Reply
Oh, me and my siblings, we trained where we lived. There were some big rooms where they set up targets and obstacle courses and stuff. Fake terrain. Just rocks and dirt, though, never any plants. [It's almost as if they made a conscious effort to keep everything drab (which they did).] Uh, siblings are people that share the same guardian, if you didn't know. Sollux didn't.
Reply
Ah. I see, I suppose that would make sense. Why fake terrain, though? None of this sounds very pleasant. Why would you choose to live under such conditions?
Oh. Guardian, like a lusus right? Sharing one must make it easier to control it, after all.
[They were getting closer to the armory, though Equius would need to pause from time to time to adjust his direction. He wasn't much of a navigator, either.]

[Awkward.]
Sooo, um, what color's your blood? [...] Is that a rude thing to ask?
Reply
[For the first time she'd be seeing, Equius grins a broken-toothed grin.]
Absolutely not. My blood is one of the best colors any could hope for. A pure shade of royal blue.
[He points to the Sagittarius symbol on his front.]
This kind of blue.
