Well, Luceti is the place you're in now, of course. I'm afraid you're no longer in your own world, but you've been taken somewhere entirely different. It sounds crazy, but the wings and the little tattoo they give you on your neck are a bit of a giveaway. We're trapped here, I'm afraid, as their experiments.

This isn't technology. Machines, gizmos and wires don't do these sorts of things. This is a whammy. One hell of a whammy, but a definite whammy of some sort.

--and it talks, too. That's a new aspect. ...well, not really new in the talking sense, but new in the sense that it's not shouting nonsense at you or trying to pull you into its pages. Come across a few of those in my time, but nothing quite like this.
Don't be. Can tell you from experience that bursting into flames and having your flesh nice and charred is anything but a pleasant experience.

Now I'm almost disappointed the pathetic idiots don't burst into song, watching them all erupt into flames might actually be a nice change in this place, even if it would smell horrible.

Well, not a stupid human now, am I? And you'd be right foolish to underestimate humans. They have a nasty tendency of surprising you in all the wrong ways. Don't get cocky, mate.
