You know my motherboard deficiency, not to mention proc. *Mooch, as well as smooch* n.n Dare I attempt to claim? And for the sake of asking, what's the ram speed in it? DDR266 here, 2100-style.
I really need to comment more often, and tackle you when you're not looking. ¬.¬
ASUS K7N8X Deluxe (non-E version). Socket A (462) AMD Athlon generation 2 compatible, 333MHz FSB (processor), 400MHz DDR (PC-3200) bus, 2x SATA-I with RAID 0/1 (no 0+1), dual 10/100 LAN (NVIDIA and 3Com), 8x AGP, 2x2 ATA-100 IDE channels, onboard AC97-similar sound system (it says SoundStorm even though it isn't), 4 PCI-Gen-1 slots.
I'm currently running a Barton (333MHz) 2500+ with the multiplier set to 2700+ (12.0x), two 512MB DDR400 boards in dual-channel mode, a RADEON 9600XT 128MB AGP card, and two 80GB SATA-I drives in a RAID 1 (stripe) config. With the given layout it performs beautifully...as of right now I have no reason to upgrade. However, $60 plus shipping for a new Socket 754 motherboard with 8x AGP would improve my system performance even more, so it's quite tempting, with that Turion laying around. But alas...it'll have to wait.
But by all means, swing by in your truck and snatch us, and feel free to tackle whenever.
Dangit, you have me wanting to tinker with my system again. Ever since I've got this FX5200 in my system, I wanna see what else I can do to make my system better(I'm not even running at 8x and it's so much nicer than my old GF2). You should know my specs by now. I know yours stomp mine to pieces, current system and especially that new one yer looking at. Newegg's got refurb'd 512 PC3200 from OCZ and a Biostar motherboard that'd be around $60 for me and would give my own performance a kick, even with my processor, but I have bigger priorities at the moment.
*Hrms, and then just carries you away after that* Mine.
