Big Questions Answered, in Brief

Jul 02, 2007 12:31

Okay, so I am opening things up on a test basis over here for anyone to ask me questions about big issues. I don't know what topics I want to cover, but If a question is not interesting to me, I will let you know. I will try not to explain in too much depth, giving instead short answers.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring here and second Clau Clau's inquiry. I too sorta think karma is a bunch of bullshit. But not entirely! It's bullshit when you're playing poker, that's for sure.

No, karma is not bullshit. But the common western perceptions of karma ARE bullshit, though ( ... )

This is funny, as I have a friend with the exact same problem! As soon as he crosses the city lines, seriously.

dear jer,

i think about forgiveness a lot. for example very often i will forgive people, but in a few select circumstances i have NOT forgiven people, very deliberately--in fact i will say "you are not forgiven and what you did is not okay and we will not hang out anymore, but i am also not angry anymore." i feel this is the only honest response in those situations where i will not forgive, and that this is okay. what do you think about forgiveness?
