oh, hon. i'm so sorry, but i'm glad you decided to let her go quickly & peacefully rather than trying to keep her alive regardless of the cost to her. *hugs* to the three of you, and i'll light a candle for her. and probably do a little crying myself. >:(

well, and at least you know that with you two she had a MUCH longer and happier life than she probably would've.

and hey, thanks so much for the candle. it really means a lot to me that so many people are helping to remember this little soul.

Oh my god, sweetie -- I'm so sorry. Really fucking sorry. She was an amazingly wonderful little beastie, and the one time I met her it was obvious that she was happy and had a wonderful wonderful life. God, I'm so sorry.

thanks, hon. i do wish she'd had longer to enjoy the last phase of her life -- and that we'd had longer to enjoy her -- but i'm glad we had as long as we did.

you read? you liked? have you read emma donoghue before? does she live down the street from you? i cried the first time i read the "cinderella" story. i so needed girl-girl myths.

thank you for saying that about the pictures. it's tremendously soothing to know that people are taking the time to look at her pictures and see what a funny pretty girl she was. she lived her life mostly within the walls of our house, but i don't want elizabeth & me to be the only ones who know that she existed.
