*Though well-made, in comparison to some of the others he's given, Gumshoe's valentine for Maggey is rather simple--it's standard pink and red construction paper cut neatly into the shape of a heart, set atop a backing of white lace, very traditional in general.

It appears he'd attempted to write something dozens of times and had to start over, as the inside of the heart is covered with words and phrases crossed out with heavy black marker to the point where they're unreadable. In the very bottom right corner, though, he has managed to squeeze a few words written in a shaky hand: "You're real great, Maggey. I really like you. Happy Valentine's Day."*

Dear Pretty Little Defendant,

Happy Valentines Day! I hope your new boyfriend doesn't get pushed off a cliff. You have no idea how easy it is, and how quickly it can happen. All it takes is one tiny little shove, and gravity takes care of the rest.

It's quite entertaining. The sound of the person's neck breaking is really the best part.

Well, like I said, have a happy Valentines Day! And don't inconsiderately forget your old boyfriend; I'm sure HE misses you down there in that coffin, as he passes the time rotting down to mere bones.
