The week is over!!

I am so glad this week is over. Actually, I'm glad these last three weeks are over because they were rough. I had a lot due and a lot to do to get ready for my trip to India. But it's all done now. I turned in my big paper for my research study and now I just have to finish preparing for my trip:
  • get my courses lined up
  • get loans
  • send in my visa ( Read more... )

I'm am over the moon for you about this trip! I'm not kidding. I'm so jealous. But not in a super bad way :)

Tibetan/Indian/Nepalese food is my absolute favorite type of food. Oh. My. God. It's just so delicious! I know you're a vegitarian, but while you're over there you're eating meat, right? I have a suggestion: try steamed yak momo. I know it sounds scary (yak, right?), but it is SO incredibly good, I kid you not. Naan is very delish, too.

Our local Nepalese resturaunt just celebrated their 12 year anniversary last night, all food half off! And their girls did a traditional dance in traditional clothes. They are so beautiful...

Anyway, when are you leaving?

I leave May 9th and I cannot wait!!! Yes I'll be eating meat while I'm there. I've already started. I thought it would be really hard, but it's not too bad. I had a cheeseburger for lunch today and I quite enjoyed it. I think because it was a thinner burger and not really heavy and fat. I had some trouble last night though. We went to an Indian restaurant and I got fish curry. I really liked it. My friends both got lamb. It was hard for me to eat it because it was so meaty. It smelled really meaty and it was harder to chew. It was hard for me to eat the big pieces. Once I cut it into smaller pieces it wasn't too bad. But man!!! It was a BIG mental hurdle.

If there are yak momos I will definitely try them. But since I'll be in India there won't be any yak because it's beef and it's illegal to eat beef there. If somehow there is yak available then I will definitely try it. I'm pretty sure it will be a lot of goat though.

I'm glad the Nepalese restaurant has been so prosperous :)

That's so soon! You must be so psyched! Really try and get your ED under control before you leave, alright? That'd be horrible for something to go wrong while over there.

I'm glad you're giving meat a try! It might help you feel healthier...in fact, I just thought of this. You might be anemic, and that's why you're so tired. Just a thought...I get easily anemic, and being tired is part of it

I haven't been doing too well with my ED lately. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get to India because right now I want to be skinny! I know I need help and I should look for a therapist, but at the same time I just want to get worse. I don't have much motivation to get better. It's very frustrating.

I've wondered if I'm anemic before. Hopefully eating meat will help me perk up a little.

xoxo
