"Don't forget to put some oil on the iron or the waffles won't come off so easily like these." Saga said and took the sweet food out of the small machine.
Nao had bought a waffle iron (he proudly named it Akane-chan since it was bright red metallic) and had the idea to ask Saga to show him how to use it without ruining the kitchen or himself. The bassist was glad to help and came over the very same day, accompanied by Shou and little Chiaki. Tora really liked the toddler, he knew how to handle cats. Chicken was safe from tail-pulling and things like that. His poor cat would be scared to death otherwise.
"So, now you know the basics. Try it yourself." Saga took the plate with the first two waffles and placed it in front of Shou who had his son on his lap.
"They are still too hot to eat, you have to wait a moment or you'll burn you mouth." His kissed Chiaki's temple and sat down beside him.
"Thank you, mommy." The boy chirped and eyed the plate with giddy patience.
He nudged Tora. "I think he'll never stop calling me that."
"You gave birth to him, sweetheart, you are his mother." Shou explained with a smile and he separated the first waffle into it's six heart shaped pieces.
"I haven't thought of that yet." Tora mused, bis hands folded on his obvious condition. Seventh month so far, work was getting harder. "Nao would be a better mommy, don't you think?"
"But that would just confuse the kids if they call me that." The drummer said, smearing batter on his apron. "Am I doing this right?"
"Yes, messy but it looks like your doing fine." Saga laughed.
"You don't want to be mommy?" Chiaki asked. One and a half years old, but damn he was smart.
"I- I want to be a mommy, I do, but I don't to be called mommy." He tried to explain, frowning at his own words.
"Why?" The little boy asked. Shou just grinned at Tora.
Yes, why? It was just about who gave birth and it wasn't that much of a secret. Tora took a deep breath. "You win. I'm a mommy. But I don't like the sound of it."
Shou knew that the tall guitarist was feeling embarrassed again, so he decided to distract the toddler. "Do you want powdered sugar on your waffles?"
"Hai, hai!" He said, wiggling a little.
Saga handed him the sugar mill. "Do you know how this works?"
The boy hold the ex-pepper mill filled with powdered sugar in his small hands. "No."
"It's a sugar mill." The vocal began to explain. "You take this handle here and turn it all around." He placed Chiaki's hand on the handle on the top and pushed to move it. "See? The sugar is falling out of it on your waffles."
He seemed to wrap his mind pretty fast around how it worked and got a little over eager.
"Not too much sugar, you won't taste the waffles itself. And you do want to taste them, right? Mommy made them."
"Hai!" He carefully set the mill down and grabbed one of the heart shaped waffles into both of his hands. "Ittadakimas!" With a loud nom Chiaki dug in, munching happily.
Oh, that proud smile on Shou's lips. Tora watched the whole scenery, his eyes averting to his experimenting lover every now and then. Would their child be as mannerly and smart as Saga's and Shou's? Maybe he'd fail. He sighed heavily.
"Everything alright?" Nao asked as he approached the table with a plate of deliciously smelling waffles. They looked a little irregular, but they were Nao's first anyway.
"Just thinking about this and that." He closed his eyes as Nao kissed his forehead.
"You're worrying yourself too much." Shou said and bit into his powdered food.
"Are you using the massage oil I gave you?" The bassist asked.
"That's exactly what I'm not willing to talk about." Tora rolled his eyes. He wasn't comfortable with conversations like that.
"But you could end up having nasty stretch lines of you don't use it." Saga said despite his full mouth.
"He's using it, don't worry." Nao answered in the guitarist's place to end the bugging.
What he didn't say was that it was more him who used it. He loved to caress the taut skin of a grumbling Tora who was - he knew it - enjoying it, regardless his growling. He could feel the outlines of their baby, sometimes how it moved and that were the moments when they'd smile at each other like idiots.
"Sorry for being nosy, but I just can't help it. Have you thought of name yet?" Shou picked a crumple up from his son's lap and snipped it back onto the plate.
"If it is a boy it'll be Tora." Nao announced with a giggle.
"Kazue." Tora said, applying mandarin syrup on his waffle. "It's a girl."
A chorus of awww rose.
"Will you guys quit it? No awww-ing! How often do I have to say that!" He glared at everyone despite the toddler who was to busy stuffing his mouth with the biggest amount possible.
"Have you heard that, Chiaki? Uncle Tora and Uncle Nao will have a baby girl." Shou cooed.
"Aw!" The boy chirped and smiled with his sugar covered lips and filled cheeks.
"Unbelievable." Tora rolled his eyes but couldn't help to join the laughter of his friends.

Yes, yes, having fun writing this. Do I have to mention I'm in love with little Chiaki?
