yay for real coffee!!! And that's so exciting that you're finally getting to talk to the teachers! How was observing? Don't forget to write about the other stuff! (Lol)

I didn't observe for that long. In theory I did for 3 days, but in reality it was for a day and a half, at most. The first day I observed for most of the day, but for one of the classes (they are all 40 minutes) I opened my bank account. The second day I spent the whole morning at the hospital getting cleared to live in the country. The third day I was pretty much teaching on my own. The guy I was replacing would maybe pop in for 5 minutes.

They sound very loose (because they let you go and open your bank account), which could be good? Still, it kinda stinks that you didn't get to observe more, but it sounds like you're having fun!

Don't get the wrong idea. They took me to open my bank account because I was still observing that day. I can't skip a class now that there is no other teacher. And they had to take me to do that during school hours because the bank is closed by the time school is over.

On the other hand I am allowed to leave the class unattended for a minute to grab something (say from the teachers room). I don't know if I could do that back home.

I don't really think I wanted any more observing. It only really helps so much, especially with the older kids. I still have no idea what to do with the young ones, but I don't really think anyone does. Plus the guy I was observing (mostly, I did look in on a few peoples classes) had half checked out since he was leaving so some of it wasn't all that helpful.
