in my opinion - don't restrict yourself, see the world for what it truly is :) if you are thinking about your parents, better to explore the world now while they're still strong. you can always go back anyways after 2-3 years :) (Or maybe not if you find the outside world liberating)
in this day and age, I think it's much easier to take care of them. especially when you have the money, you can always just hire a private nurse or something. of course, it still wouldn't be the same with you physically beside them. but I think it's manageable
as for work, there will come a time when your learning curve will plateau.. I guess that's the signal that you can now leave (unless they offer you another role which you like or perhaps promote you and give you bigger responsibilities)
