I'm not wild about the ending -- I hate horror movies in which the hero does the right thing, the kind, generous, moral thing, for the revenant, and is rewarded with indifference, betrayal and hostility; I hated it in The Ring and I didn't like it here -- but I found the movie so wonderfully, wholesomely scary, it's truly worthy to be the place where the great British horror studio, Hammer Horror, is resurrected.
I am born and raised on American happy endings so I was heartbroken by the ending, truly I was. But I guess that made it a real story for me. It made it more than another horror flic.

Other than that ending, I loved this movie.
