wow, i loved The Butterfly Effect, and this was just perfect. I think it's amazing you can write something like this, that's so intricate and i feel like i've been holding my breath the entire time i was reading, and the last part made me so so so happy. I love it <3

Awesome. I don't even know where this came from. It was my first AU, and one day I was just like, "You know, I think I need a Butterfly Effect story." And it...happened. Glad it worked for you.^^

It's one of my favourite movies too. I actually wasn't sure about doing the ending this way, because it does diverge so much, but I felt like Ryan would figure it out. Just because it's Ryan. So yeah, I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks.^^

I have to confess that I skipped to the end of the story when I first started getting into it, to see if it had a happy ending. I live the concept of the Butterfly Effect, always have, but I watched the ending once and now can never watch it again, it's so depressing. So when I started reading this and getting drawn further in, I was like, "If this has the same sort of ending as TBE with the Panic boys than I'm not reading further, no matter how amazing it is." Which it was, btw. Amazing. I loved it, and that you had Brent in here too was brilliant. And the fact that Ryan fixed it by actually talking to his dad? Wonderful. Thanks for this!

Thank you. The Butterfly Effect is one of my favourite movies, but there are a few parts where I want to shake Ashton Kutcher and tell him, "No, go back to _____ time again and actually fix it! I know you can." I struggled over how to end this version of it, but I decided Ryan would be smart enough to figure it out.

He definitely would be, and stubborn enough to keep going back until it was fixed as well! I mean, you can sympathise with Ashton for thinking that what he did was his only option, but imho, there's always another way.

I really liked the way you handled each 'new life' sequence - the tiny events that lead to 'the butterfly effect'. In the movie each time his life changes it's sort of hazy and very visual, and I thought you captured that really well in written form.

I'm glad you chose a happy ending, too! The movie was great, but too damn depressing.

Thank you! I'm glad you thought it was handled well. And yes, I waffled on the endong a bit, but I always felt Asthon Kutcher could have gotten a happy ending too, if he'd handled things a little differently. And Ryan's a smart one, so...^^

oh my god, it was accurate according to the film, well, in the main part for sure, cos I'd watched it a while ago, but when I was reading it, I remembered the scenes.

Anyway, thank you for finishing it another way! ^_^ Good work!
