We could probably put one on the porch, although then they'd just shit on our porch. And we sit there!
My mom called me on Friday to tell me about sixteen fat birds on the lawn and I was all, "I LOVE BIRDS, MAYBE I SHOULD TAKE UP BIRDWATCHING," so then today she gave me a pair of binoculars. I'm pumped! I hope to go down to Mount Auburn Cemetery in the spring to LOOK AT THE LITTLE BIRDS.
I wonder if you could get a pole and put a feeder up on a pole? You might then have to get a baffle to keep the squirrels off. If you have any questions about bird feeding and watching, I worked here for 3-4 summers: www.birdwatchersgeneralstore.com and I loves birds! I can hook you up with feeding info.
OR (ok I am obsessive) you could just get a birdbath. Esp if you can put a little heater in it so that it doesn't freeze in the winter, the birds will heart you and they'll take cute little baths all winter long for you.
I remember that you worked there! You had the cute mug from there, didn't you?
My dad has a squirrelfree birdfeeder that seems to have finally worked after years and years of battling against the crafty squirrels. Come to think of it, my whole family's a little bird-crazy. BIRDS RULE!
A Peregrine Falcon took up residence at the top of Bradfield Hall at Cornell. It's got the Lab of Ornithology people in a tizzy. If you ever find yourself down on the Cape, go to "The Birdwatchers General Store" in Orleans. Very cool plac
I have the same hope for this Falcon. My wife and I get to watch it attack crows during our lunch break, and I'm still hoping it goes after one of the "LIKE OMG BECKIE" girls currently infesting campus...
