It's been three and a bit months since I last got to speak to mum. It's one of those things where in the first few weeks, everyone is really good and understanding, but after a few months, people are expecting me to be over it. I think I'm finally finding out just how crazy a PhD is meant to be. Because last year, lets be honest, I did feck all. The first 6 months is supposed to be spent reading up on your area of study, but because I did my own research proposal and have been studying this area for three years now, I didn't have to do so, so instead spent a year doing 6 ( Read more... )
