Why are we all so lonely? I mean why can't we help each other out? S. is upstairs lonely, and I am lonely here. And I'm in pain. All over me, pain. Not a really sharp pain that makes one move towards a solution. This is the dull pain that follows me around and makes it all seem hopeless.

It's drilled into us by current social expectaions, you know. We are supposed to be independant, let our children learn from their own mistakes, make them stand on their own two feet...and they've had the same thing drilled into them. I think that they don't really believe that anyone has ever felt "like this" before, and the try to muddle though with a suuprt group of friends who are just as muddled as they are. We get to pick up the pieces.
