My job has given me a drinking problem

So, I'm new at my job, which means I get the crap shifts that no one wants. That means I get the opening shifts. Some days that means 6 am. Other days that means 4:45 am. I personally don't mind these shifts too much, though it's often difficult to go to bed early enough for the 4:45 shift, especially since those are on the weekend, and I would ( Read more... )

I haven't called you to go out drinking yet, because I have been absolutely broke for the last couple of weeks. I've been hoarding every last dime I have because I fear running out of money and starving to death. That's actually a bit of hyperbole, but I definitely don't have drinkin' money at the moment. Are you still going on your long trip all over the planet? One day I'll have money again, and we'll get together.

I drink tons, too. I have to for my kidneys. I know what you mean about peeing all the time. yikes, I'm worse than my mother!

Why do your kidneys need you to drink a lot? Do they get lazy if you don't keep them working? Sorry if that's too personal a question. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I was just curious.

I'm sad no one commented to say how clever my "retaining water" comment was. =P
