My birthday was fantastic. Kait took me out to dinner and then when we got home, Deirdre had decorated and cooked and they had organised a surprise party for me! It was really nice to spend my birthday with my friends. Really, really nice

I don't want to leave. My friends are here and so it my school. I could go to med school in France, but I'll get a better job if I'll do it here. And I'll have a better life if I'm with all of you.

I think you are probably right, and it is just a matter of time. The people we love sometimes lose it, and with the "it" goes their ability to see what makes the people they love happy. When they come back to their senses, they will have to realise how much better off you are now that you have come into and accepted this knowledge about yourself. They should be proud of you for doing so. When they can accept it - no, embrace it - too, then we can be proud of them.
