Adventures at the DMV
The thought of owning the car I paid for sounded like a good idea, so I made a trip to the DMV today to get a drivers license and register and title the vehicle in my name. I've been the to DMV before, a couple of weeks ago, to get a permit for my car while I was waiting on the title from the party I bought it from. It's a pretty organized place ( Read more... ) -
Crafty-ness
Yesterday I bought a sewing machine. I ended up with the Kenmore 16231 made by Janome. It's a mechanical machine, while most of the machines on the market today are electronic or computerized. While those machines are supposed to be quality, I find it hard to trust them. I like the feeling of when I turn the dial to change stitches I can hear ( Read more... ) -

There is an article in the Japan Times today about tetrapods. Apparently, little cement buggers that line the coasts of Japan were originally developed by the French and the TETRAPOD is trademarked by the Japanese company Fudo TetraA lot of people don't care for them and think that they destroy the beauty of Japans coast, but I, like a few other ( Read more... ) -

I moved down to Arizona a couple weeks ago. I started my job on Monday. I work in a large room with about 20 cubicles. About seven of them are occupied. This last week since there was a holiday, there were an average of three people in there are a given time, including myself. It's strange. I don't know if I like it.
