I dislike the closed season, where the threat of a football-less summer looms over us. I want to be down Upton Park, with the rest of the Hammers fans, screaming on Sherringham as he fires home a hat-trick, not having to watch my videos of seasons past. I'm aware that it is very sad to have videos of old West Ham games, but I do not apologise as I ( Read more... )

Dean, I need to organise to come over some time and look at your work. I'd like to buy Mum a painting for her birthday to brighten up her room (even though she won't necessarily remember where it came from, day to day). If you've got anything bright and cheerful, maybe?

Hello Ernie, how are things with you? Of course you can come over and have a look, I shall seek out my bright and cheerful paintings, there has to be one somewhere, at least. If you'd like I'll do a commission for you, as you're a friend, the going rate I'd charge for non-commissioned works. How does that sound?

Things are pretty normal. Work and spending time out with friends, the usual stuff. You should come out next time - I'm sure it can't be good for you to be cooped up with all those fumes all the time. Although it might be wise to have a good shower before you do, because I'd hate to see a misplaced cigarette send you up in smoke. How flammable is that stuff you use, anyway?

A commission would be lovely, but I'm near useless when it comes to thinking of what. I'll leave that to your artistic genius to think of. Size-wise it doesn't have to be too large because she's only in a small room.

Who needs dope when you're sniffing fixative all the time? It is quite flammable, but I assure you that I wn't explode into messy pieces, and that I do own clothes without paint on, though I've no idea where they are hiding. It would be very nice to come out with you all; it's very strange how I keep more in touch with the Hufflepuffs than the Gryffindors, apart from Ginny and Seamus. But then, who can get rid of Seamus?

What about a peacock? I could put jewels and collage it up with some fabrics, paint over that - something tactile as well as pretty. They are such handsome birds.

I am so very glad that it does. I am thinking of a Warhol Marilynesque feature of my backside, in various colours, for my next exhibition now.

What do people make of it?

I'm sure your mother will adore that.

Well. Terry hates it. But we knew that was going to happen. Marietta thinks it's fabulous, but again, that was obvious as well. Ernie does not find it intriguing whatsoever because Ernie is heterosexual. And Steve thinks it looks delicious.

Mum would go spare, but the next exhibition is Wizarding...

Apologies to Terry, of course. I have three fans, it is almost heart-warming to know that my buttocks are causing pleasure and upset in equal amounts.

You're so very strange, in that rather good way.

Thank you for dinner, Dean, it was lovely. We should really get together more often!

I don't really follow football, but I read something that said West Ham won? Er, it was probably a singular game. Anyway, if I laughed at you for cheering on West Ham then I'd have to laugh at Ron for cheering the Cannons. (I bet if Ron could put games on a cassette, he would!)

2-1 but we were only playing Watford, they had a penalty in the 89th minute, and five of our players got booked - I mean really, they are stupid for that, they might get bans.

You looked very beautiful, Ginny. While I am aware that you have brothers who are probably annoyed by the fact that I am saying this, it is just the truth, after all.

Bless Ron, it's almost sweet.

Oh. How horrible.

I did? I did not! Um, but thank you anyway? Even though you are very deluded, and obviously mad.

It's almost pathetic, is what I'm sure you meant to say.

At least it's late in the season, so hopefully they'll be fine for next.

You did. Stop protesting for I am an artist and appreciate beauty in all her glorious Ginny shaped forms.

Possibly. I video West Ham matches. I've got the complete seasons 1998-2005.

My da always rents videos of Viking games all the time, or so it seems, because whenever I'm home he tries to get me to sit down to watch them. Telly is so dull to me, though, I don't like sitting staring at a box without talking or doing anything else. And it's no use trying to strike a conversation with him, because he'll just shush me.

Yes, we should meet soon, I think I'm getting withdrawal symptoms myself, although what kind, I'm not sure. Londoner, I reckon. The lot of us are going to meet this weekend, if I crash at your place we could play quidditch and get drunk on wine the day after. We could even do both things at once!

You are going to be in London this weekend?

It's patience and enjoyment, my friend, and you have too much joire de vivre to have the former - I can see you bouncing off the walls without being able to talk; how does he manage to keep you quiet since he can't hex your mouth away?

Of course you can stay, I'll get in the usual and fish out the airbed. Anything you fancy while I'm out shopping? Any treats? Oh yes, better get six bottles of wine, we are a little fish-like at times, and we do want things to be there when we're rather too drunk to move.
