ever since taking film analysis and having to actually shoot and edit a movie of my own, i have such appreciate for good cinematography. i dont think i ever really thought about or noticed it before taking the class.
i never took any classes, but i feel like i might like to someday. my actual plan was to attempt to buy a film school book of some kind and just give myself a class at home. ah well, someday i guess.
people seem to be obsessed only with actor charisma in every movie nowadays, and nobody cares about good lenswork. it sort of pisses me off that i have to go to foreign films to get any sort of work like that, save for a few cool americans: linklater, tarantino, coppola, etc.
while sort of on the subject, zach braff's garden state has my pick for best movie of the year so far, followed closely by godry's eternal sunshine (he doesn't count though, since he's french). freedom movies rule!
