I just watched the first movie I ever went to. My older sister took me to it back in 1956. It was "Forbidden Planet". Made a relatively useful (to me) useless (to most) discovery. If you call a graphic using html and it isn't available, you get an ugly border box with the 'X' in the upper left corner. Now, if you call a graphic using Java, and it isn't available, you get a not-there, see-through area, where the graphic would have been. In certain cases it makes ( Read more... )

I just wanted 'ONE', just one of the same type that the NASA boys pour over with their magnifyers. So, I hit the download button and aquired a high-res photo taken by one of the Mars rovers. Well, 390 megabytes later, there it was. Clicking the 'dimensions' tab showed me that the shot was 8 feet high by 29 feet long. Kickin' detail. Amazing ( Read more... )
