Experiment on First Day of Classes

Hypothesis: There is a method to making the first day of classes palatable to both professors and students.

Permutations/Experiments:

  • Find a demonstation that is bombastic yet safe and simple.
  • Interact with students in a down-to-earth manner: don't talk above them.
  • Be humorous with faculty.

Nothing sneaky at all! Just getting out of the lab, as we must all step out of our zones of comfort now and again. Of course I can think of a few individuals who are probably quite comfortable with themselves regardless of who they are.

Please try to keep the death toll to a minimum this year! Last year's was horrible, shot past 80.

Aieya~! Everyone's blowing that number out of proportion... if I find the person who penciled in that "0" after the eight posted outside the advanced biochem lab... (and it's not my fault that student dropped the contagion sample, I'm just glad we contained it!)
