Precipitation
How do these things get past me? I was working on robotics and microorganisms for so long I neglected to see it was raining. Anyway, I'm taking the opportunity to get caught up on papers, reports and experiments, because unless I have a good reason, I'm not stepping outside. It's torrential out there.

Hypothesis: There is a method to making the first day of classes palatable to both professors and students.
Permutations/Experiments:
- Find a demonstation that is bombastic yet safe and simple.
- Interact with students in a down-to-earth manner: don't talk above them.
- Be humorous with faculty.
