I want a new life

My anxiety about the boards is killing me! I can't stand it any longer. Everyday is just another knife, just want to fly away and forget my worries. I want to leave. I want to go. I want to fly out of this country tomorrow and never come back. I'll fly to London, find a place to leave and forget I'm a Nurse. I'll be Oliver Olivar, born in London, ( Read more... )

NO Alex, you can't. Being a nurse is something amazing to be proud of. Not many people could do this job. Not many people can stand needles or blood or faeces or vomit. Not many people can say I saved a life today or I helped this person get better.

You can move to London (Cos you'd love it here) but you have to carry on being a nurse..

I'm waiting for that "I've Passed" post !!

This is a really odd time, the new grad/passing boards/real nurse stage.

I know so many people who feel this way after graduation. Hang in there!!!!

Congrats on your teaching job! I enjoyed teaching last year, myself.

Good luck, Alex! I don't know how it is there in the Philippines, but one of my friends, a top student who graduated from Johns Hopkins nursing school, actually failed her NCLEX the first time around. She had to take it again, and passed.

Hehe...I understand your longing for a new life. A reboot.

Hang in there with those nursing practice questions.

Thank you for adding me as a friend. Actually, my main blog is drsaddam. Please add me there too.

No, I'm not in medicine ...yet. I will apply for physician assistant (PA) school next year. A PA is mid-level provider, like a nurse practitioner. They work with doctors. They may diagnose and treat patients medically, as well as prescribe drugs. Two year MS degree. They are getting more and more popular as we try to cut our high health care costs.

By the way, are you Mormon? If so, you will find this interview with Kim Clark inspiring. He's a Mormon leader who used to be dean of Harvard Business School:
