what??? how could you be rooting for SC? i thought you went to Cal -- arent they like mortal enemies????

no, Cal has no opinion on SC -- Cal's nemesis is Stanford... which is slightly ridiculous as neither team has much to be excited about (though I remember one chem class in which we had to watch a video clip of "The Play" before our prof proudly did some reaction that turned a crimson liquid into blue and gold while yelling the cheer (I don't know the cheer)).
I have a rather odd relation to USC -- actually, the only football games I've attended in my life have been USC games -- but obviously I am (rather apathetically... certainly not going to watch) rooting for the team with the beach and the organic food and... California, duh!

I have the windows open and the television on in another room, but I can tell everytime UT scores by the shouts that reverberate up and down my street.
