Trailer Deconstructing Take 2 -- Wanna Help?

Hello again Potter people. The powers that be (i.e. my editors) have asked me to write another post-trailer response using quotes from "real fans," so I'm looking to all of you. The take on this one is moments you noticed that are making you say "huh?" (aren't in the book or how you imagined) and moments that are making you crazy with excitement ( Read more... )

The biggest 'huh' moment in the trailer is when Voldemort is grabbing Harry's face. Obviously it wasn't in the book, and probably just one of Harry's many dream sequences so I'm not sweating it. The parts that have me the most excited are all the parts with Ron (and Hermione too of course!). I love how he seems so protective of her and they are very coupley. He looks terrified and disgusted when he's looking at the picture the locket shows, and so fierce when he's killing it! I can not WAIT for this movie!!!

I'm not very quotable, but if you want to I don't mind :) Dove Harper

My heart beat a little faster when I watched this trailer, that's for sure! The pacing really let you know that you are in for something special. I think it's interesting that they are keeping the trailers concentrating on both films - keeping the suspense of where 1 and 2 will be separated.

Harry & Voldemort scene is not how I imagined it based on the book, but have learned to view book and movies as two different things. Love the fierce Ron scenes and the fact his character is more of a focus - which is very fitting from the DH novel. Really happy with the Ron and Hermione focus as well. I like that the trailer makes it a trio story, not just Harry versus the world. The scenes of all the Death Eaters and the Hogwarts battle really set the tone of good vs. Evil.

Not much quotable here, I'm afraid. But can if you want - Emily M.

The scope and scale feels epic... worthy of a franchise of this magnitude. So that alone, is thrilling. Dan's face is so evocative in the opening scene and closing image, I really cannot wait to see his performance. I love the moments with Ron and Hermione and their obvious attachment. And the silver doe sequence, which is such a redemptive and cathartic moment of clarity for Ron, looks absolutely perfect. I love these characters. I can't wait to see them again.

The moment when Voldermont points his wand to Harry to kill him is... heartbreaking. I like all Harry´s makeup, intense, dark, and really "deathly".
About RHr, I do love all the peeks when they are shown as a couple, no just as Harry´s sidekicks.
This trailer impressed me more than the first one. And that´s a lot to say.

My english is not good enough to quote, but I hope this comment help you a little bit :)

You know I haven't seen it yet, so can I chime in tomorrow or is your deadline tonight?
