I don't know which of my friends in livejournal I read it off of, but it is ludicrous that more people care about giving chickens more space to live (prop 2 at 6,113,393 yes votes) than they do about preserving the rights of another human being (prop 8 at 4,792,873 no votes).

And why we need to find ways to reach out to tell people that they are not correct in their understanding of the issues.
