I just learned today that Mark Campos took his own life this month. We were online friends for a long time and I find myself grieving a person I never met in person. I only ever knew him as words on a screen. But God, what words.

Oh, Mark. Oh, honey. I wish you hadn't done this thing. You will be missed.

Glad you're alive! Is there anywhere I can follow you online? I'm in the hospital during a pandemic! I don't live with Shawn, anymore. I live alone without cats. How are you doing?

I post on Metafilter pretty often but that's about it for ol' UH these days. I don't have a blog or anything.

What is Metafilter? Can you link me? I had Cellulitis and it is a bacterial infection. It surrounded my trachea and I couldn't swallow my antibiotic so I had to be admitted to be given it through IV. To make it short, I seem to have survived the painful ordeal. I'm in Indiana. The cats are still with Shawn in Cali.

Oh, gosh! That sounds so awful! I'm really sorry to hear it. Things have been pretty grim for me too. I had cancer a while ago and now my mom is in the hospital, in an induced coma following a heart attack. But I'm still with K and I'm surviving. I'm sorry you had to leave the cats, I know how important they were to you, but it's probably for the best that you're not living with Shawn anymore. It didn't seem like a happy dynamic between you.

Metafilter is just Metafilter.com, a website where people post links and argue about them. I'm on there pretty often.
