When I re-posted that thing the other day about how the people on my friendslist suck warthog balls, I meant it as a joke. This blog is probably over, and I thought that was kind of a funny note to go out on, bitching one last time about the lack of comments. Unless you're Nice and Happy and post fucking pablum, LJ is pretty dead these days. I hang here partly outta stubbornness and partly because it's still 'home' to me, fucking Russian thugs notwithstanding. I do however maintain a Facebook, a Twitter and Tumblr account and my own website. Plus I lurk all over the fucking intratubes. But we're all on Disability under this roof so we can afford that.

I've heard from a few sources that the amount you can get on disability per month is really low... I think it was less than $700. If I was ever tempted to go on disability, that'd put the kibosh on it. I'm desperately broke as is, and if I was bringing home $650 per month I'd have to live in my car or something.

SSI in California is presently $854 a month, which also qualifies one for Section 8 housing. But these days the entire system in badly back-logged. I got in at just the right moment.

I think that many people get busy doing non-computer things during the summer. I still consider you a friend.

This isn't just a summer thing... Comments were always spotty, but then they slowed to almost nothing the last few years. I kept trying to get some interaction going, but it was hopeless. Too many of my online friends gave up LJ or they'd unfriended me or whatever, and I just don't have it in me to start over here. So, I'm finally giving up. I've always appreciated what you had to say, and wish you the best too.

It's true that a lot of us are posting over at FaceBook, Dreamwidth and Google+ - but that's mostly because Live Journal has been wonky lately.

But most of my "friends" are still posting on a regular basis. I haven't because I've been traveling and taking care of some health stuff, but I'm trying to be better.
